Step 1: Tools you need to clean the rust from the gun

If you want to remove rust from your gun, then you will need some tool. Without a tool, it is almost impossible to remove rust from a gun. The perfect tool can make the thing easier to clean your gun. For a newbie, it is almost impossible to find the perfect tools to remove rust. Don’t worry we will suggest you remove rust from your gun. These are the following item you will need to remove rust from your gun.

  1. 3 in 1-gun oil. We will suggest you buy Hoppes. Because of the quality of the product Hoppes is very good for removing rust.
  2. A solid AP brush. Remember one thing never use a toothbrush for this.
  3. Napkins or microfiber towel.
  4. Steel Wool.
  5. A cleaning surface.

Step 2: Apply the oil

In this step, you have to put the gun oil in your gun. Apply most in the rusting area. After that, you have to leave the gun in the open air for 30-40 minutes. It will help to rust absorb the oil. Then you have to take the ap brush for rubbing. Scrub the whole brush for sometimes. When scrubbing you have to push the brush harder. After a hard scrubbing for a few minutes take a microfiber towel and remove all oil from the gun.

Again apply some oil and repeat the old process. It will help to remove all those oils.

After applying this method wipe out all the oil from the Gun

Step 3: Apply the Gun oil

Now you have to apply the cleaning oil. Apply the cleaning oil the whole gun top to bottom. Now you have to leave the gun again for 10-15 minutes. In the meantime, all rust will soak all the oil.

Now take the steel wool. Use your index finger start rubbing in the gun area. It will help you to remove all the remaining rust forever. Try to push hard in the rusting area using your hand. You have to run this process until all the oil came out. After that take a napkin to remove all the rust mix oil.

Now check the gun properly. I hope all the rust came out from the gun. IF not then you have to understand that you have run all process.

Note: Never use the steel brush or toothbrush to scrub your gun. Because the steel brush will remove your gun color and the toothbrush is not effective to remove rust. So it’s better to use an AP brush.

Conclusion

This is exactly how to remove rust from a gun! The guide is very simple and super easy to follow. Hope that helps.
